10. The Farmhouse
A stylish cafe that uses organic and local produce? YES. PLEASE. Their crispy oyster mushrooms, malunggay pizza bites, and all-day breakfasts are basically proof that healthy can definitely be yummy, too.
Araneta Highway, Barangay Pahanocoy
9. Cafe Velo
Vintage bicycles, a vertical garden, and flowers adorn this cute little cafe that serves coffee, breakfasts, sandwiches, and just about everything divine.ย The food and drinks are as superb as the design details that it is so easy to fall in love with Cafe Velo.
P. Ledesma/Mckinley St. Silay City (15 minutes away from Bacolod)
8. Fogo
Their stellar Latin American menu includes peri peri chicken, fajitas, and my absolute favorite, guacamole mousse. Everything in Fogo isย food-coma inducing, in the very best kinda way.
O Residences, Lacson Street, Mandalagan
7. Chef O’s Bistro
Their locally brewed beers and killer chicken skin is a match made in heaven. I had actual tears. Sure, they have other topnotch dishes on their menu, too, but that skin…that chicken skin.
N&G Bldg. San Sebastian Cor. Doรฑa Maria St.
6. Nene and Carmen’s Snackย House
A legend to all the students in La Salle Ave., their buttery spareribs got me through college. It’s affordable and it’s crazy good, it makes me wish I’m back in school in again. Okay, let’s not go there.
La Salle Avenue, CL Montelibano Streetย
5. Kalan-an sa Dalan
Hold on, before you start gettingย technical (possibly hysterical), yes, Kalan-an sa Dalan is not in Bacolod. It is actually an hour away from Bacolod. But every Bacolodnon knows this is where you score the best pork chops. And if that means you have to travel to the edge of the world, in this case, Hinigaran, so be it.
Bacolod South Road, Hinigaran City
4. Crib
Say what you want, but Crib got it figured out. They only doย two things: wings and ribs. And they do them really well. Arguably the best wings in town.
San Agustin Drive
3. Alice’s Recipes
The family restaurant that serves wholesome, soul-satisfying dishes like Chorizo ni Tita Baby, Adobo flakes ni Lola Seryang and Beef Ropa Vieja ni Lola Nita, will make you feel at home. And we all know nothing beats the feeling of home.
UTC Building,ย ย Singcang-Araneta Street
2. Luisa’s
It’s the go-to spot for the classic fried chicken and garlic spareribs.ย And anyone who has sunk their teeth into one ofย these spareribs will tell you they are that gooood.ย A no-fuss joint with an old world feel, Luisa’s only care about good food. And we totally support it.
2697, Narra Avenue, Door 5, Capitol Shopping Center
1. Diotay’s
With a well-deserved reputation for serving the freshest and the yummiest seafood feasts, Diotay’s is a force to be reckoned with.ย This pala-pala style eatery makes a phenomenal tinolang isda, kinilaw na tangigue, adobong pusit,ย butter garlic prawns, diwal and scallops. Enough said.
