Apple recently unveiled its latest iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max. Since a lot of people around the globe have been waiting for this, it gained the attention of many Filipino netizens, especially tech enthusiasts! Of course, some are already eyeing to get their hands on it.
But did you know that average Filipinos need to work for 80 days to buy the iPhone 15 Pro (128 GB), which is priced at ₱70,990? Analysts from research e-commerce firm Picodi Philippines calculated the local iPhone 15 Pro prices with average earnings and its updated iPhone Index.

According to the latest Numbeo data, the average wage in the Philippines is ₱18,744.39 net monthly. In that amount, an average Filipino has to work 79.5 days to afford the iPhone 15 Pro, given that all their earnings will be allotted for it.
The report revealed that compared to 2022, the number of working days required, which is 90.9 days, decreased by 11.4 days. However, out of 47 countries, the Philippines still ranked second to the last country to afford the iPhone 15 Pro, following Turkey with 123.7 working days required.
It is also noted that the price shown during the showcase does not include the sales tax. In other states, state and local sales tax is added to the price, which is 9.55% at most. Meanwhile, in the Philippines, the goods and services tax amounts to 12%.

The top country to easily afford the iPhone 15 Pro is Switzerland, with 4.2 working days required, followed by the United States (5.3 working days) and Australia (6.3 working days).
