Social media sensation “Aura” also known as “Mak-Mak” (the name of his character in “FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano” teleserye) showed off his dancing prowess at the Las Pinas Waterlily Festival.
He joined his classmates at Las Pinas National High School (Almanza 1 Annex) and students from two other schools in competing in the street dancing competition. Aura is 12-year-old Mcneal Briguela in real life and is presently a Grade 7 student.
Aura’s trademark moves were a hit with the audience and with the judges, so much show that their group won as the grand champion in the competition. Besides Aura’s school, the winning group was composed of students from Golden Acres National High School and T.S. Cruz National High School. They won a trophy and 50,000 pesos in cash. They will also become cultural ambassadors of Las Piñas City.
Aura gained popularity from the video posted on Facebook by his sister where he was first seen making his signature “aura” pose. The video went viral on social media and by now has over 100,000 views. This was followed by a series of “Aura ng Api” videos, where his sister asks him to react in various dramatic situations. People admire his acting prowess as well as his comic presence, and of course, the trademark “aura” facial expression he makes after each scene.
Now, he is a big hit in “FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano” shown nightly on ABS-CBN. Prior to that, he was also featured on ASAP’s segment called One Lucky Day. Vice Ganda announced recently that Aura is included in the movie he is currently filming, which will also star Simon ‘Onyok’ Pineda.[fb_instant_article_ad_01]?
