Food is considered to be a great way to learn about another country. Usually when we travel, one of the first things we experience of another country’s culture is their cuisine.
Asia is known to be a land of diverse flavors and rich cultural heritage. Each country has its own unique character which is displayed through its sights, sounds and taste.
Unfortunately, we don’t all have the means and time to travel and experience each country in the region. But with the mission to promote understanding among Asian cultures, Asia Society Philippine Foundation Inc. will be bringing the ultimate Asian ‘food trip’ experience to you together with its partners Mercato, Embassy of Sri Lanka, Embassy of Vietnam, Embassy of Laos, Embassy of Malaysia, San Miguel Pure Foods, San Miguel Brewery, Century Pacific Food Service, Del Monte Pacific Ltd., Citibank; Media Partners Yummy Magazine, When In Manila.com; Official Airline Partner Cebu Pacific Air, The Philippine’s Largest Carrier; and Partner Beneficiary Hope In A Bottle.
We would like to invite you to the first ever Asia Off the Streets Food Festival where individuals and representatives from the embassies will showcase and sell dishes from different Asian countries. Participants will also get a chance to win raffle prizes including two round trip tickets to Hanoi, Vietnam.
