When in Manila and would like to travel and explore our ASEAN neighbors, I highly recommend you visit www.airasia.com and get yourself the “AirAsia Asean Pass” and the “AirAsia Asean Pass+.”
Today, yours truly attended its official launch and Press Conference here in Bangkok, Thailand where I got to work with other members of the media to witness this momentous event.
The AirAsia Asean Pass is a travel pass which allows guests to lock down low base fares with credit, and redeem flight with the credit to travel across 10 ASEAN countries. Malaysia, Brunei, Singapore, Indonesia, Myanmar, Thailand, Vietnam, Laos, Cambodia, and Philippines.
I believe it’s high time for us Pinoys to get to know and appreciate our region more because like our own country the Philippines, our neighbors also have so much to offer! Time for us to also broaden our horizons and have a rather “regional mindset” and think about ASEAN as one big family. Thanks to AirAsia‘s ASEAN Pass, we Pinoys can now get to learn and enjoy more meaningful experiences around ASEAN at more affordable rates.
With ASEAN having around 600 Million people, our country can greatly benefit from this, as this will definitely encourage more people to visit the Philippines. The market is definitely huge in ASEAN alone, so I believe now is the best time to act and make more improvements in order to cater to more visitors.
Holders of the AirAsia Asean Pass (P7,200 for 10 credits) and the AirAsia Asean Pass+ (P12,900 for 20 credits) can enjoy flights at a fixed-rate to over 148 routes across all 10 Asean countries. Acting like a single currency, it diminishes the hassle of different foreign exchange rates as flights are valued according to credits, allowing guests to be creative in planning their ideal trip through Asean.
Flights with duration of below two hours are valued at 1 credit, while flights of two hours and above are valued at 3 credits. No processing fee applies for flight redemptions using the AirAsia Asean Pass and Asean Pass+. Airport charges/tax and other fees will be payable separately. The pass can also be purchased as a gift for another traveller.
The AirAsia Asean Pass and Asean Pass+ credits are redeemable for travel with AirAsia Malaysia (AK), Thai AirAsia (FD), AirAsia Indonesia (QZ) and Philippines AirAsia (Z2 & PQ) to Asean destinations only.
Personally, I’m really excited to travel and learn more about the region this year and I can’t wait to experience and write about these new places and flavors I will get to savor!
For a detailed list of flights redeemable with the AirAsia Asean Pass and Asean Pass+ and other applicable terms and conditions, guests may refer to the airline’s website at www.airasia.com.
