ASEAN sustainability consultancy program held in Manila this year

This week marks the end of the Orange ASEAN Factory 7 (OAF) in Manila, Philippines. OAF is an intense three-week sustainability consultancy program where talented young professionals from ASEAN countries and the Netherlands came together to work in dedicated teams on real-life sustainability business cases.

Participants from Indonesia, the Netherlands, the Philippines, Thailand, and Vietnam worked on live business cases with the direction of members from TheRockGroup. Developed and hosted by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Netherlands and local Dutch embassies, this is the 7th edition of the program.

The program offered the participants the opportunity to broaden their knowledge on consultancy and sustainability through lectures, diversify their network through events joined by international companies and local NGOs, and boost their international collaboration experience through their cases.

This edition was made possible by the Dutch Embassy in Manila, KLM, Shell, East-West Seed, Blue Cap Hydro, GoodHout, and Indoor Air Quality who have sponsored and provided sustainability challenges for participating young professionals to consult on during the three-week program.

Business cases given to the teams highlighted topics stimulating local businesses through sustainability, circular economy, clean energy, social impact, and improvement of the quality of life. The teams were able to provide concrete and implementable solutions to their clients with the guidance of Bertus Tulleners and Kelsey Walker.

Nineteen participants with backgrounds from multiple disciplines will be delivering their final presentations highlighting their recommendations for their cases on October 31, 2019 at New World Hotel Makati.
