As part of the organization’s 40th anniversary, The UPLB Com Arts Society brings you Art & Soul IX: Resonance. Now on its 9th installment, this year’s Art and Soul goal is to focus more on the soul after years of focusing on the art. In line with this, this year’s theme is Resonance, “a quality that makes something personally meaningful or important to someone.”
Art & Soul is an annual cultural event that showcases the UPLB community’s talents through different performances like spoken word poetry and music, along with displays of artworks. Winners not only bring home cash prizes; they also get a chance to make their craft known.
This year, The UPLB Com Arts Society is bringing what the UPLB community might have been missing in the indie scene–Ben & Ben, formerly known as The Benjamins; 2nd-rnner up winner in the recently concluded PhilPop2016.
The Society is expecting to top last year’s Art & Soul which gathered more than 200 attendees. Watch artists leave an echo of themselves for the world to experience this October 6, 2016, 7PM, at 77 Events Place, near Agapita, Los Baños, Laguna.
