Around the Philippines in Small Plates: Benefit Dinner for the Victims of Super Typhoon Yolanda
Ready? … Ready?? …. How about now? … Are you ready yet? READY?!?!
That’s what I kept screaming at my date. See, apparently, I was a bit too excited about trying out the next dish at this amazing event! I seem to have forgotten that men tend to eat faster than petite little women…
“Around the Philippines in Small Plates” is a charity event in which 100% of ticket sales will go to the I Can Serve Foundation, and brought to you by the Lifestyle Network.
It is possibly the grandest dining experience in Manila!
There were 31 different food stations, each set up by a top local chef, to showcase one of their most delectable dishes! The best of the best appetizers, main entrees, desserts and drinks were all being showcased this night!
Dishes at Around the Philippines in Small Plates will be cooked up by some of today’s biggest names in the local culinary scene, including Lifestyle Network’s FoodPrints’ Chef Sandy Daza, Curiosity Got the Chef’s Chef Sharwin Tee, Chefscapades’ Chef Gene and Gino Gonzalez, Wildflour’s Chef Allen Buhay, Grace Park’s Chef Margarita Fores, Chef Hylton le Roux of Market to Master, Milky Way Café’s Chef J Gamboa, Green Pastures’ Chef Robby Goco, Restaurant 9501’s Chef Myrna Segismundo, Chef Glenda Baretto of Cafe Via Mare, Chef Jessie Sincioco of Chef Jessie’s, Chef Ginny de Guzman of Gustare, Chef Juan Carlos de Terry of Terry’s, and Chef Fernando Aracama of Aracama.
Aside from all these culinary masters, sumptuous dishes will also be served by some of the country’s best establishments, such as La Cocina de Tita Moning, Alavar Seafood Restaurant, Pepita’s Lechon, General’s Lechon, Rico’s Lechon, Discovery Suites, Bizu, Kitchen’s Best, Fog City Creamery and Baby Pat’s breads and pastries; with the official wine partner for the night, Beringer of Happy Living fine Wines, and coffee care of the EDSA Beverage Group.
