In case you missed it, Arci Muñoz is now Sergeant Arci Muñoz PAFR!
The 31-year-old actress completed her Basic Citizen Military Training on Sunday, October 25, after she had enlisted to be a reservist for the Philippine Air Force back in June.

In an Instagram post she shared the following day, she expressed her gratitude for having experienced this opportunity to train with the military and
“I made it! I just want to say I’m very proud of myself for finishing such a great feat. Training with the military was really tough specially with a pandemic looming. I did things I didn’t know I would (and could). Getting here hasn’t been traversed overnight; although what I went through is nothing compared to my colleagues—I feel great admiration for them,” she began on her post.
“I also found myself humbled and it made me gain a renewed self respect. That being said, I hope that I’ll never have to use what I learned for violence instead be an inspiration to many to have a sense of comradeship so we can all live in peace.”
She then shared that she will always keep what she learned close to her heart.
“I will forever cherish and hold on to the learnings and core values that this institution instilled. I will remain a snappy composure and continue to serve in the best interests of my nation,” she said. “Sincerely yours Sergeant Ramona Cecilia Datuin Munoz.”
In another post, Arci shared an uncensored photo of the wounds on her feet caused by her combat boots to show that the pains of her training had been no joke.
“To my combat shoes,..grabe mo kong sinaktan! Pero ikaw pa din ang pipiliin ko sa kahit na ano pa mang sapatos jan!! Dahil tinuruan mo kong maging matatag, to have humility, loyalty, to have the sense of valor, and to value the importance of Camaraderie. Kaya ikaw pa din paborito ko forever!! Marami pa tayong pag dadaanan!” she said.
[Rough translation: “To my combat boots…you really hurt me! But I will still choose you over any other pair of shoes. Because you taught me to remain steadfast, to have humility, loyalty, to have the sense of valor, and to value the importance of camaraderie. That is why you are still my favorite forever! We still have a lot to overcome!]

Aside from Muñoz, other celebrities who applied and underwent training to be part of the AFP Reserve Force include JM de Guzman, Kiko Estrada, Gerald Anderson, Elmo Magalona, Jerome Ponce, and Yves Flores.
Meanwhile, Matteo Guidicelli, Dingdong Dantes, and Rocco Nacino went through rigorous training in their respective titles in the military.
