– A Filipino Citizen
– Female, 16 to 28 years old
– Has never married nor borne children
– A person of good moral character, personality, wit, grace, and poise.

Megan Young is the first contestant from the Philippines to hold the Miss World title when she won in 2013. However, Filipinos are consistent placers in the pageant. In 2011, Gwendoline Ruais placed First Princess. The following year, Queenie Rehman placed in the top 15. Valerie Weigmann (2014, top 25), Hillarie Parungao (2015, top 10), Catriona Gray (2016, top 5, and would go on to win Miss Universe in 2018 ), Laura Lehmann (2017, top 40), and Michelle Dee (2019, top 12) also placed.
