The new iPhone 12 will not come with a power adaptor and we’re not sure how to feel

The launch of every new iPhone model is a much talked about event, and the pre-recorded Apple event for the new iPhone 12 series is no exception. At the event, company executives talked about the exciting new features that will come with the new phones. However, what really caught our attention was the absence of two essential add-ons: the power adaptor and headphones. And that’s surprising news—even more than removing the headphone jack in its recent models!

According to Lisa Jackson, Apple’s Vice President of Environmental Policy and Social Initiatives, this brand new $1,000 (around PHP48,630) device will come with less. This means “a smaller, lighter iPhone box” that lets Apple fit “up to 70% more products on a shipping pallet.”

Just like its predecessors, the iPhone will still come with a USB-C to Lightning cable. The thing is: this cable is not compatible with your existing iPhone power adaptor. This means that you will need to either buy a special power adaptor or share one with your MacBook. And take note: this power adaptor will cost you an extra $20 (around PHP972).
