Apparently, Davao Is Taking Stricter Measures on “Laglag-Bala” Scam

Several days back, a Manila-bound passenger was arrested at the Francisco Bangoy International Airport in Davao City after he was found to be allegedly carrying two live bullets inside his baggage.

This arrest follows similar cases reported in the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA), which has been since called as “Laglag-Bala Scam” (rough translation: dropping bullet inside a bag).

With this, it appears that Davao City is taking stricter measure against this modus operandi.

This is what I found in DAVAO CITY INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT. A lot of police officers are roaming around for the security of all the passengers. They are giving flyers/ papers warning everyone for the “TANIM BALA MODUS OPERANDI”. Aside from the flyers, they even talk to the passengers to always check their baggage and not let anyone touch it even the airport representatives. I thought it’s the end or only on the outside. But when we went inside the airport, I saw two cameramen taking videos in front of the scanners. I am amazed of the quick response of the government. I salute Davao.
