Ansel Elgort seemed to have a lot of time on his hands after he took a number of shirtless selfies and uploaded exactly 17 of them consecutively on his Instagram page.
The Fault in Our Stars and The Goldfinch actor gave no explanation on the captions whatsoever, leaving many fans and friends confused over the whole thing. Some wondered if he had been hacked, but seeing as he has yet to take down the selfies, it looks like he did so on his own accord.

Many celebrities had a thing or two to say about Ansel’s selfie spree. His costar for an upcoming film West Side Story Rachel Zegler said, “My entire feed is just your posts thank u for blessing my insomnia buddy.”
Meanwhile, Jonathan Cheban expressed his concern with: “You good? Lol”
Australian singer Cody Simpson commented, “You’re killing me homie,” while Diplo just left a facepalm emoji.
Ansel’s real-life girlfriend Violetta Komyshan, however, seemed to be enjoying the whole show. She even picked her favorite one!

Was he feeling his oats or just trolling us? Or was it all just a clever promotional stunt to gain attention for the new trailer for his film The Goldfinch?
