It’s been an eventful November for actress-host Anne Curtis so far. From revealing her pregnancy to celebrating her second wedding anniversary with husband Erwan Heussaff, it truly is shaping out to be a special month for her. The cherry on top is that she was able to share this experience with her Showtime family and open up to them about what it’s been like to be pregnant.

Recently on It’s Showtime, Anne candidly talked about her pregnancy. First, they mentioned her “magpasikat” stunts at the show’s 10th-anniversary celebration last October. Anne’s co-hosts were surprised and impressed by her calling the moves “simple”. They also noted how, in hindsight, Anne’s thanks to Erwan for allowing her to do the stunts made much more sense now.
But don’t worry, Anne makes mention that she was given the go signal by her doctor for the show. Her trainer was also in-the-know regarding her baby and acted accordingly.
The discussion on her stunts brought Anne to the topic of It’s Showtime‘s anniversary, which made her tear up at the thought of having gone through so much over its course. “We celebrated 10 years, so ang dami na nangyari sa 10 years ng buhay ko sa Showtime [so much has happened in the 10 years I’ve spent on Showtime]. From being single, nagkaroon ng boyfriend, nagkaroon ng asawa, [to getting a boyfriend, to getting a husband] and now as we celebrate our 11th year in Showtime, I’m now going to be a mom,” Anne reminisces.

Of course, Anne also explains the rationale behind keeping the pregnancy a secret for some time. “It’s been quite a journey. We decided talaga na i-keep muna sa amin ni Erwan. Kami lang talaga ang nakakaalam. Just because we wanted to keep the baby for us muna. And it was really such a nice journey. Medyo nahirapan din kami noong una… para di mahalata.” she shares. “Pero ang galing din kasi hindi din siya muna ipakita masyado. It was nice just to share it with Erwan and I, it was our little secret. Now we’re ready to share it with the whole world kaya ayan, nagpapakita na siya.”

Her co-hosts then interjected about how Anne repeatedly dropped hints and that the signs all made sense to them now. Vhong Navarro mentioned noticing that Anne was eating more rice than usual. “Ang aga mag-Pasko; ang daming rice na kinakain. Usually ‘pag December niya ginagawa ‘yon.” He added, “Hikab ng hikab. Ang lakad, pabagal ng pabagal […] ‘Yon pala kasi bumibigat na siya.”
[She was celebrating Christmas early; she ate so much rice. It’s usually only in December that she does that. She kept yawning. And her walk kept getting slower. It turns out, she was growing heavier.]
Kim Atienza joked about Anne gaining a glow to her and wondering if she was seeing Dr. Vicki Belo. The others all joined in to talk about her wardrobe choices consisting of a lot of black and loose-fitting items, which were obviously to hide the baby bump. And some of her elderly fans were very observant of her cravings, specifically that of green mangoes!
