Anne Curtis Set to Take On Her 3rd World Marathon Race in Tokyo

After taking the New York and London Marathons by storm back in 2016 and 2018 respectively, Anne Curtis is ready to take on her third World Marathon Race in Tokyo!

“CONFIRMED!!!! I’M IN! I’ll be doing the [Tokyo Marathon] in 2020! YAHOOOOOOO!” the actress announced over Twitter.

The Tokyo Marathon will mark her third year joining the six-city Abbott World Marathon Majors which also include Berlin, Boston, and Chicago.

The course of the Tokyo Marathon will begin at the Tokyo Metropolitan Government Building and end at the Tokyo Station. Although the race is scheduled in March of next year, Anne said that she has to start training as soon as possible especially after she stopped running for a while. “42.2 km is no joke,” she said.

She has yet to confirm the charity she will be partnering with for her race.

Last year, during her London Marathon, she partnered with UNICEF to raise funds for their emergency response program for the children in Marawi. She was able to generate nearly PHP 400,000 for her cause.
