Anne Curtis is set to return to making movies with another project with Erik Matti.

Curtis starred in Matti’s BuyBust in 2018, an action film where she played an anti-narcotics special operative going head-to-head with drug cartels in Manila.

On Instagram, the director wrote, “We don’t shoot movies that are fast and easy. And with someone like Anne who already knows how much bucketloads of blood, sweat and tears it’ll take to do our kind of movies and yet is still so excited and passionate with the story we are going to tell, we can only give it our best to someone like Anne who is hungry to not just make good work but to also pour in the hard work it takes to get it done.”

He ended his post with, “Love ya always!!! Excited for 2023!!!”

While Matti did not mention anything about the upcoming project, he hinted that it’s another action film. He tagged Curtis and used the emojis ???️??????❤️??

Curtis, meanwhile, commented, “I’m so excited and sooooo ready to ??‍♀️?️⚔️???????‍♀️?☠️???”

The upcoming film is Curtis’s first film project since 2019, when she starred with Vice Ganda in The Mall, The Merrier.

She went on a showbiz hiatus to to focus on her pregnancy. She gave birth to her first daughter, Dahlia Amelie, in March 2020 in Australia, where she and her husband Erwan Heussaff stayed before finally coming back home to the Philippines in February 2021.

Curtis returned to It’s Showtime! in May 2022.
