In relation to her upcoming movie, Table 19, where Anna Kendrick plays a woman grouped with misfits at a table during a wedding reception, the 31-year-old actress has revealed that she doesn’t want to be a bridesmaid.
In fact, Anna doesn’t want to be a bridesmaid so much that she’s avoided making close female friends in order to avoid being roped into wedding duties!
Anna apparently avoids her friends’ weddings as much as possible, finding the whole thing very awkward.
During a guesting on Late Night with Seth Meyers, she revealed:
“I try not to get invited to weddings. I mean, it’s like watching your friends put on a little pageant. And you have to be in a nice dress and talk to people you don’t know. I feel I have potentially (been) avoiding making very close female friends because I don’t want to be a bridesmaid.”
The Pitch Perfect star also says that no one can get her to plan a bachelorette party:
“No, I’m not having it. It’s a deal breaker, I can be friends with you if you are already married. I’m not planning a trip to Vegas, I’m not doing any of that, I’m a very lazy friend.”
