Horror-comedy fans, this is not a drill: our favorite chaotic duo is officially returning to the big screen!
Anna Faris and Regina Hall—aka Cindy and Brenda—are reuniting for Scary Movie 6. After almost 20 years away, the two are dusting off their screams, slapstick, and over-the-top death scenes for another round of mayhem.

According to Deadline, the stars are teaming up once again with none other than the Wayans brothers, Marlon, Shawn, and Keenen, who were behind the first four films. It’s a double reunion that horror-comedy stans didn’t even dare dream about.
“We can’t wait to bring Brenda and Cindy back to life… and be reunited with our great friends Keenen, Shawn, and Marlon—three men we’d literally die for (in Brenda’s case, again),” Faris and Hall shared in a joint statement.
Marlon Wayans even teased fans on Instagram with a cheeky throwback snap of the iconic pair, sending everyone straight into nostalgia mode.

If you’ve been living under a rock (or maybe trapped in The Ring’s cursed TV?), Scary Movie is the spoof franchise that lovingly pokes fun at every horror trend imaginable, from Scream to The Exorcist and Paranormal Activity. The first film was released in 2000, with Faris and Hall becoming instant fan favorites thanks to their chaotic chemistry and scream queen energy.
The last time we saw Cindy and Brenda was in Scary Movie 4 (2006), before Scary Movie 5 introduced Ashley Tisdale. With the OGs back and the Wayans family steering the ship, fans are already screaming (with laughter) in anticipation.
The sixth installment is still in development, but one thing’s for sure: horror parodies are about to make a comeback, and Cindy and Brenda are leading the charge.
