When in Manila and looking for a show that will make you laugh and be swooned at the same time, ‘Kahit Konting Pagtingin’ is the right choice.
This is Angeline Quinto’s very first teleserye. If there is one thing I have noticed about Angeline when I met her is that she is naturally funny. This young lady who has achieved so much in the course of time, has definitely remained true to her self and stayed the cool gal that she is. No wonder that ABS-CBN has offered her to star on a lead role on this romantic-comedy series in the Kapamilya network.
Angeline will be playing the role of Aurora, an enthusiastic and funny lady like she is in real life. She is thankful to have been given the opportunity to star for this lead role. “Masayang-masaya po talaga ako kasi hindi ko inasahan na darating ito sa buhay ko. If before I’m only part of teleseryes as the singer of the theme songs, now viewers can watch me everyday as an actress.”
More to that, Angeline commented that she can relate with her character on this new soap. “Matapang si Aurora para sa kapatid at tatay niya. Super taas din ng pangarap niya para sa kanyang pamilya at yon ang pagkakatulad ko sa kanya. Nakikita ko yong sarili ko sa role ko, kaya makikita niyo kung gaano ka-natural dito yong acting ko,” she commented. When asked what she think is the reason why a number of opportunities have come her way in a short period of time, “Sa lahat ng nagtanong sa akin ng ganyan, ang sagot ko po talaga diyan ay lahat po yan ay nakukuha sa dasal,” she said.
The young actress is excited for home viewers to finally watch the show this January. “Very light po nong istorya ng ‘Kahit Konting Pagtingin’. Makikita niyo po dito ‘yong’ karakter na sobrang matiyaga sa paghahanap ng raket para suportahan ang pamilya niya. And along the way, matutuklasan din nila kung papano makikita ni Aurora ang true love niya.”
Along the story, Angeline’s character will meet two brothers named Lance, played by Paulo Avelino, and Adam, played by Sam Milby. The two young actors are excited on their new roles and are very pleased to be teamed up with Angeline.
Fresh from the success of ‘Walang Hanggan’ Paulo feels very fortunate to have been offered the role. “I feel really blessed na mangyayari ang mga ganitong blessings after Walang Hanngan. I am very happy,” Paulo said. His role in this new teleserye is far different from his character from his previous soap opera in which he played a psychologically-challenged person. This time, he will be playing a happy-go-lucky rich young man. He didn’t expect that he will be given such a role. “Marami akong adjustments sa current role kasi kabaliktaran siya ng role ko sa “Walang Hanggan”. I expected na heavy drama ang ibibigay sa akin then biglaan na lang that they put me in a very light series in which I had the chance to discover the soft side of my self.”
Meanwhile, Sam Milby has been away for a while from starring in teleseryes and this 2013 happens to be the come-back year for him. His new role is the serious, workaholic and the perfectionist kind of a character; which is in contrast to Paulo’s role. Sam is in gratitude to be given this chance to star on a new soap after a while. Sam and Angeline are already friends because of his regular gig on ASAP (ABS-CBN’s noontime show), and now that he’s starring with Angeline on a soap, Sam said he enjoyed having Angeline around regularly. “Nag-eenjoy kami na kasama siya in this teleserye. Angeline is blooming as an artist and as a person. She has a natural charm around her. She’s so real. Dito very natural din yong acting niya,” he commented. On his comeback, “May konting kaba but I’m happy na binigyan ako ng magandang project. I am very excited. At na-miss ko talaga mag-taping.”
