Angelica Panganiban is now finally saying goodbye to teleseryes now that her most recent acting stint in the ABS-CBN primetime series “Walang Hanggang Paalam” has ended.
Angelica, who has been in showbiz for nearly 30 years, has previously mentioned her desire to officially retire from doing scripted television shows in order to start focusing on herself and take a much-needed break from work.
“Yung pagod na pwede ko pang itrabaho 50 years from now, naibigay ko na po sa show na ito. Pati ‘yung luha po, nung mga bandang dulo, wala na po ako maipatak,” she told the media during a press conference for the “Walang Hanggang Paalam” finale a week ago.
“For almost 30 years, ito naman ‘yung ginawa ko. Sa kalahati ng buhay ko, gusto ko ring ibigay sa sarili ko, deserve ko naman din sigurong magpahinga pagdating sa paggawa ng teleserye.”
And now that the show is over, Angelica stayed firm with her decision and wrote a heartfelt goodbye to her character, Celine Delgado, the cast and crew she worked with, and her tenure as a teleserye star.
“Masaya, mahirap, nakakapagod, nakakabaliw, nakaka tulala, pero MASAYA. Kakaibang experience ang dulot ng ‘Walang Hanggang Paalam,’” Angelica began in her post on Instagram. “For 6 months, magkakasama kami sa isang hotel na naging bahay na namin. Katrabaho na naging pamilya. Hindi madali na malayo ka sa comfort zone mo lalo na sa panahon ng pandemya. Pero itong samahan na ito ang nagpatibay ng kalooban at agam agam sa mga panahong bibigay ka na.”
She also expressed her gratitude to her home network ABS-CBN and series producer Dreamscape Entertainment for giving her the opportunity to give her last hurrah in television as the character Celine.

“Malaking pasasalamat ko sa ABS-CBN [at] Dreamscape family dahil naisip nilang isama ako sa proyektong ito. Nabatukan ko siguro ang sarili ko kung tinanggihan ko ang show na ‘to,” she said. “Sa lahat ng sumubaybay sa ‘Walang Hanggang Paalam,’ taos pusong pasasalamat. Wala kami, kung wala kayo. Pero katulad ng lahat ng bagay, meron itong katapusan. At hanggang dito na lang po kami.”
“Kahit mahirap magpaalam, ito ay kailangan. Paalam mula kay Celine Delgado,” she ended.
