Angel Locsin is undoubtedly one of the country’s biggest stars and most revered actresses, which is really, enough reason to love her. But the girl is also undoubtedly #woke (which is, you know, millennial slang for being socially aware), and today is no exception.
The actress just turned into a real-life Darna as she visited the families who were displaced by the conflict in Marawi City, a huge help for our brothers and sisters. Aside from giving out food packs and school supplies, her mere presence was enough to put smiles on the evacuees who have lost their homes from the fighting.
As reported by Inquirer.net, this is the second time Angel has volunteered and provided relief for families affected by armed conflict. Angel also reportedly has Maranao lineage, which makes these issues in the south close to her heart.
Plus really, if you follow Angel on Twitter, she’s always one of the first to call attention to national issues. She clearly puts her fame and resources to help others, and that’s always a good thing.
