“Ang Mutya ng Section E” is officially getting a second season!

The exciting news was announced during their sold-out two-day fan meet and greet show on May 1 and 2 at the New Frontier Theater, which erupted in loud cheers from an equally hyped crowd. Following the massive success of their two-day event, Viva One also confirmed the news across their social media platforms.

“I-TWO NA ANG MATAGAL MONG HINIHINTAY, KLASMEYT (This is the one you’ve been waiting for, classmate),” Viva wrote.
“Parating na ang ‘ANG MUTYA NG SECTION E’ SEASON 2 sa Viva One! This was made possible dahil sa inyong nag-uumapaw na pagmamahal at suporta (‘Ang Mutya ng Section E’ season 2 is coming to Viva One! This was made possible because of your overwhelming love and support),” it added.
Moreover, the production company also released a quick teaser of what to expect for the second season, titled “Ang Mutya ng Section E (The Dark Side).”

As shown in the teaser, fans and viewers will watch how Jay-Jay (portrayed by Ashtine Olviga) would navigate bigger secrets and mysteries involving her family, heartbreaking betrayals, and the show-stopping love triangle between Keifer (portrayed by Andres Muhlach) and Yuri (portrayed by Rabin Angeles). Moreover, the second season will introduce a new set of characters that readers have long been eager to see come to life.
While the official release date for the second season has yet to be announced, fans—and those who missed out on the show—can catch all episodes of the first season on Viva One.
“Ang Mutya ng Section E” is a popular youth-oriented show based on the Wattpad story of the same title by Filipino author Lara Flores (Eatmore2behappy). The coming-of-age romance series premiered on January 3, with the finale episode released on April 25.
Apart from Ashtine, Andres, and Rabin, the first season also featured up-and-coming young stars such as André Yllana, Charles Law, Kurt Delos Reyes, Angela Muji, Heart Ryan, and Sara Joe, among others. It also featured veteran actors, including Yayo Aguila, Katya Santos, Nanette Inventor, and Lander Vera-Perez.
