Congratulations, Amal and George!
The renowned human rights lawyer and the actor welcomed their twins, Ella and Alexander, on Tuesday morning. Associated Press broke the news first in a tweet:
BREAKING: Publicist says Amal Clooney, wife of George Clooney, gave birth to twins Ella and Alexander on Tuesday. .

George Clooney’s representative also released the following statement on people:
“This morning Amal and George welcomed Ella and Alexander Clooney into their lives. Ella, Alexander and Amal are all healthy, happy and doing fine.
George is sedated and should recover in a few days.
“
News of the couple expecting twins first broke in February this year. Amal, 39, an Oxford-educated lawyer, and George, 56, an actor, married in September 2014.
