Volleyball star Alyssa Valdez is opening a new chapter in her life as she officially joins the newest season of “Pinoy Big Brother”!
The long-running reality show introduced Alyssa as among the first batch of celebrity housemates for its 10th season on its social media pages, describing her as the “Heartstrong Phenom [of] Batangas.”

Alyssa went live on the same evening to confirm the news that she will be entering the “Pinoy Big Brother” House where she hopes to discover new things about herself while continuing to advocate her love for sports.
“One probably because I really want to explore pa and discover myself as an individual na mas malayo sa sports. Second, gusto ko ma-inspire ‘yung mga kabataan natin. Makapasok man ako sa ‘PBB’ house ‘di ko makakalimutan kung saan ako nagsimula which is volleyball,” she said, as quoted by ABS-CBN News.
She also assured fans that her boyfriend, basketball star Kiefer Ravena, is in full support of her new venture.
Alyssa is among the most prominent volleyball players in the country having won two UAAP championships and multiple individual awards when she was still playing for her college team at Ateneo De Manila University. She’s also competed in various leagues around the world. Currently, she is the captain of the professional women’s volleyball team Creamline Cool Smashers.
