Alden Richards Opens Up About His Brother Being A COVID-19 Frontliner

As the Philippines grappled with the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic over the past few weeks, we’ve come to see who the true heroes are in this situation: the doctors, nurses, health workers, and other individuals who are on the frontline every day.

One actor especially attuned to this is Alden Richards. He revealed in an interview via video call with GMA-7’s 24 Oras that his kuya RD Faulkerson is actually a COVID-19 frontliner in America.

He first talked about the sacrifices our own frontliners are constantly facing each day, and how he wanted to give thanks to them.

Maraming maraming salamat po sa pagsasakripisyo ng buhay niyo para sa kaligtasan naming lahat,” he said. Hindi biro na labanan itong isang kalaban na hindi natin nakikitapero nandiyan kayo from military to police to barangay tanods to doctors to nurses. My heart goes to them, especially [to] the frontliners.”

Alden then shared about his own brother working as a nurse in California.

Lahat ng medical workers, like my brother.
