Aishwarya Rai is already one of the most beautiful women in the world, winning the Miss World pageant in 1994. But what happens when one of the most beautiful women wears a gorgeous gown from one of the most talented Filipino designers? Magic, and that’s exactly what happened when Rai wore a Michael Cinco gown at the red carpet of the Cannes Film Festival.
Rai was at the festival for Okja, an action-adventure film she starred in, which is competing for the Palme d’Or, the main competition section at the 2017 festival. For the red carpet, she wore a stunning blue Cinderella-inspired gown, drawing praise from respected fashion magazines. Elle and Harper’s Bazaar noted the actress’ “princess-worthy look, ” while Teen Vogue said that she looked “positively ethereal.”
The dress is part of Cinco’s Impalpable Dream of Versailles Collection. According to the designer, Rai looked like a “fairytale princess.”
