AIESEC Youth Leadership Week: April 25-29 at Ateneo de Manila University

Head on over to the Ateneo de Manila University this coming April 25-29, 2016 for AIESEC in Ateneo’s Youth Leadership Week. Join the AIESECers of Ateneo as they celebrate Youth Leadership in the brightest and most festive way possible.

In its first year, there’s already a lot in store for you in Youth Leadership Week. YouthSpeak: Ateneo kicks off the start of the week on April 25 from 5-8 PM at the Escaler Hall in Ateneo. YouthSpeak: Ateneo is a Youth Business Forum featuring personalities who want to inspire the youth to take that one step further to maximizing their potential in the art of trade beyond profit making. There will also be booths right outside the venue during the whole afternoon featuring various social enterprises. Handmade crafts, healthy food and more will be featured and sold by participating booths such as Human Nature, Bayani Brew, Habi Footwear and more.

AIESEC Youth Leadership Week: April 25-29 at Ateneo de Manila University

On the 27th, 3 AIESEC alumni in the field take the stage from 5-7 PM during the AIESEC for the Philippines forum to be held at the SEC C Lecture Hall. The forum, in line with the upcoming elections, aims to facilitate an active dialogue between established players in national and international leadership, and Ateneans to share insights regarding the kinds of leaders that we want to have.

On the 29th, in its first year as well, AIESEC in Ateneo will be conducting the Interscholastic Youth Leaders Initiative to be participated in by high school student leaders from around the metro. IYLI, is a whole-day youth leadership conference that aims to instill the importance of stepping up and taking the lead as the youth today and the leaders of tomorrow. The morning session will be consist of a talk series while the afternoon session will be more about team building and leadership techniques. Participating schools include St. Pedro Poveda College, St. Paul College, Pasig, Xavier School, Multiple Intelligence International School, Temple Hill International School among others.

AIESEC in Ateneo will also have a week-long installment called the AIESEC Advocacy Lane. This installment aims to showcase the three pillars of the holistic AIESEC experience, namely, Youth Leadership, Business Leadership and Leadership through International Exchange. The advocacy lane will be a short and guided journey through the AIESEC experience featuring videos from exchange participants, exhibition booths featuring AIESEC’s advocacies and more. Participants, as they are guided through the Advocacy Lane will also be given the chance to pledge for AIESEC in Ateneo’s projects: REAP for Urban Farming, ASENSO for Micro-Enterprises, LEGACY for Education and THRIVE for HIV Awareness; and share their own thoughts regarding AIESEC’s Global Goals like Gender Equality, Sustainable Economic Growth, Education for All and 16 more through the Freedom Wall!
