Typhoon Karen (Sarika) left the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) this morning, but Typhoon Lawin (Haima) is set to take her place. Lawin is expected to enter PAR Monday afternoon.

According to state weather bureau PAGASA, its location is still too far away to determine where it will land, but if its path stays the same, it will likely hit Luzon.

Karen made landfall early Sunday morning in Baler, Aurora, and brought heavy rain and strong winds to most of Luzon. Over 2,628 families in Bicol, Cagayan Valley, Calabarzon, Central Luzon, and Ilocos were displaced, but the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) says that relief operations are underway.

The typhoon left early Monday morning, according to a 4:30 am bulletin issued by PAGASA.

Stay safe, everyone, and be updated on the latest weather report!
