After five long years in the show, a host of popular noontime program “It’s Showtime” bids her farewell.
Veteran singer Jaya opened up to friends and followers on her social media that she will officially be leaving “It’s Showtime” and the ABS-CBN Network as she begins the next chapter of her life with her family in the United States.
“I had 5 amazing years with ABSCBN & Tawag Ng Tanghalan Sa Showtime!” she began in her post. “Nalulungkot ako na di ko na makikita ng pansamantala ang mga kasamahan ko dito mula sa hosts, Hurados at contenders. Pati na rin mga staff and crew, na nakakabiruan o kausap ko nang madalas. At sa mga Madlang Pipol na lubos ang pagtanggap sa akin, mami-miss ko rin kayong lahat.”
Though it saddens her to leave her fellow hosts and judges, pictured in the post she shared, she assures everyone that this is only a “temporary” goodbye.

“I know that this is just temporary for all of us. Pag ok na ang lahat, magkikita rin tayong muli,” she said.
“I leave with a grateful and thankful heart. Thank you for your love, generosity and most especially, your friendship. Thank you Lord for this humbling experience. Now off to a new journey. Lead me Lord.”
Jaya revealed her plans to move to the US earlier this year.
