If you’re looking for a conveniently located hotel in Cebu that won’t burn a hole in your wallet, consider Quest Hotel and Conference Center.  Quest hotel is one of the newest hotels in Cebu with it being in operation for less than a year. It is owned by Filarchipelago Hospitality, Inc., the same group responsible for the highly successful Crimson Hotel in Mactan. Location:

 

The hotel is located right in front of Ayala Center, Cebu and is about a 5-minute cab ride away from Cebu IT Park. Majority of the tourist attractions within the city are less than half an hour away. For your late night convenience needs, a 7-11 is also quite nearby (around a 7-8 minute walk), consider stocking up on late night munchies while the mall is still open. 

 

 

Lobby and Reception:

 

The first thing you’ll notice, once you step into the hotel, is how tastefully designed it is.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Hotel Room:

 

Check-in was a breeze and we were immediately shown to our room when we got there. The room is a bit small at 25 sqm but as with the hotel interiors, it is also tastefully designed. There are a few universal sockets, a working desk, lcd tv, coffee and tea making facilities, safe and chiller. 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Missing from the room are slippers, bathrobes and an ironing board.

 

The toilet is small but what’s important is that it’s functional and clean. 

 

 

 

 

There is also a balcony overlooking the pool area. We wanted to hang out here late at night but too bad, there are no lights. 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Hotel Facilities:

 

They have a swimming pool with several lounge chairs perfect if you just want to relax under the sun. 

 

 

 

 

 

 

They also have conference rooms and meeting rooms named after world famous explorers. 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

A gym is being constructed during our visit and will be located at the same floor as that of the meeting rooms. 

 

 

Wifi:

 

The hotel also offers free wifi. Yey! Wifi, or lack thereof, has been a major deal breaker for me when booking a hotel. The signal is a bit weak inside the rooms but don’t fret as the connection is consistent and strong in the lobby. You’ll have all the liberty to post your Facebook Status, to Instagram your photos or to check out WhenInManila.

 

 

Service:

 

Service was top-notch. Where better to experience Cebu’s hospitality but here. Everyone working at the hotel that was armed with a smile and was ready to help out. Most of the staff even offered to take our photos when they saw us posing for the camera. We also checked out at 12 noon but informed them that we’ll settle the bill a bit later as we were still having lunch at the hotel. As the hotel was not full that time, they asked us to just check out later in the afternoon. How nice is that?
