An out-of-town trip always gives us the best quality time we can have with our friends or family. Especially living in a country like ours, where you are most likely to be just a few hours away from different kinds of adventures!

Many Filipinos love being in the water whether it may be in the rivers, waterfalls, lakes, or beaches — add more fun to those trips by trying out these different water sports!

6. Wakeboarding

One of the nearest wake parks from Manila is Republ1c Wakepark, and it’s only a short travel away to Sta. Rosa, Laguna. They are open everyday: Monday-Thursday (8:30am-5:30pm) and Friday-Sunday (8:30am-10:00pm). You can check their website for their rates as it depends on the time and duration of your stay.

There are also other wake parks called Lago de Oro Wake Park in Calatagan, Batangas, Deca Wake Park in Angeles, Pampanga, and Pradera Wake Park in Lubao, Pampanga.

If your dream superpower is to be able to fly like Iron Man, you will definitely love flyboarding. Networx Jetsports in Subic, Zambales offers flyboarding. They also offer other water activities such as the hoverboard, speed boat, banana boat, dragon boat and more.

Flow House Manila is located at Bacoor, Cavite. The Flowrider is basically a machine that produces waves in which the riders feel like they are actually in the ocean. If you want to try it out,  the price is P650 per hour. Go catch those waves!

3. Whitewater Rafting

If you want to experience whitewater rafting, you can drive to Tarlac which is only two hours away from Manila. There are also other activities such as cliff-diving, trekking, and swimming to be found there. You can find the rates online as it will depend which group you will avail the activity from.

One of the famous diving spots near Manila is Anilao, Batangas. There are various diving resorts in Anilao that can help you in achieving your first diving experience! These dive centers will make sure that you are prepared before you go into the water, so don’t worry and just dive into it!

Anilao, Batangas is also known for windsurfing which is why most dive resorts offer this sport as well. It is not the same as surfing because you have to take into account the elements of sailing as well. This sport may not be easy to do but it surely is rewarding once you get the hang of it.
