How to Make Your Own Lip Balm: Homemade Lip Rub to Achieve Soft and Kissable Lips
When in Manila, I always find ways on how to make simple beauty recipes that I can find in my kitchen. My sister shared her favorite lip rub recipe with me and now I am sharing it with you!

Here are the ingredients that you will need to achieve soft and kissable lips:
Honey

Olive Oil
Brown Sugar
Before we head on to the recipe, let me give you a bit of a background on this first. My sister and I have dry lips; I guess it runs in the family. 🙂 So we always stock on lip balms to keep our lips moisturized. When my sister discovered this concoction, she was ecstatic. I saw the results on her, so I thought of trying it out myself. Not only is this recipe effective; it tastes good, too!
Because I’ve tried and tested this, I am confident to share this with you. A little warning, though, if you are allergic to any of the ingredients, please refrain from using this product.
Also, it is usually better to consume honey that is locally produced in your area. This decreases your chances for having allergies because your immune system is already familiar with the pollens in your area.
Okay, let’s go ahead and proceed.
Step 1: Mix all of the ingredients together.

Step 2: Dab a small amount onto your lips and gently glide your finger in a circular motion.

Step 3: Rinse off
Voila! Instant smooth and moisturised lips! Honey and Olive Oil are generally great moisturizers. In fact, historians believe that Cleopatra used olive oil as a body moisturizer. Honey is also known to be a wonder food, which Ancient Egyptians used as face masks. Aside from being a great moisturizer, it also has anti-bacterial properties.
