ABS-CBN News Program TV Patrol Returns Tonight

On May 5th, the National Telecommunications Commission issued a cease and desist order against ABS-CBN. It was issued on the basis of the expiration of its congressional franchise. The order effectively shut down the country’s largest TV network.

Tonight, ABS-CBN’s flagship news program TV Patrol returns to continue delivering news to Filipinos. Viewers will be able to watch the newscast on ABS-CBN’s various social media platforms. It will be streamed on ABS-CBN News Facebook, ABS-CBN News YouTube, iWant, and The Filipino Channel (TFC).

As per the NTC’s cease and desist order against ABS-CBN, the tv network is still permitted to continue the use of their digital platforms. Only its broadcast operations on television and radio are prohibited.

“Our patrol on the news that matter to Filipinos will go on,” ABS-CBN’s statement reads. “Like we promised, we will not be silenced, and we will remain committed to serving the Filipino.”
