Abba to delay reunion and new songs to 2021 due to pandemic

The Swedish pop-disco supergroup Abba was supposed to have a reunion this year but it was all delayed because of the COVID-19 outbreak. Originally, they were going to release two new tracks but they bumped it up to five instead. Their reunion will instead be next year, in 2021, when, hopefully, the pandemic has eased up and gone.

The four-piece came into fame in the disco era and their upbeat pop songs have inspired a musical, aptly named Mamma Mia. They were active in the 70s and released their last studio album in the 80s. So this is the first time in decades that they’ll be releasing new music! How exciting!

I can’t wait to nod along to some Waterloo-esque music again. I’ve been on that 70s and 80s music binge because of their dance-friendly beats and melodies. I love Abba. I really can’t wait!
