Lionsgate Television is reportedly developing a TV series based on The Twilight Saga, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
Currently in its early development, the specific take on the TV adaptation of Stephenie Meyer’s best-selling book series is still under discussion and no network or platform has been announced yet. Although, the source told THR that the author is expected to be involved.
Meanwhile, the “Twilight” films’ producers Wyck Godfrey and Erik Feig are also reportedly taking part in the TV adaptation as executive producers. Sinead Daly was also mentioned, being attached to writing the script. Known for her work on several popular films and TV shows including “Tell Me Lies,” “The Walking Dead: World Beyond,” and “Black Widow,” the writer/producer is said to be working with Lionsgate Television to determine whether it will be a remake of Meyerโs books or a different offshoot. However, Lionsgate reps have apparently declined to comment regarding the matter to THR at the moment.
We recall that the film franchise starring Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson, and Taylor Lautner grossed over $3.4 billion worldwide.
