The warmth of the Moon and the gentle breeze at the shores of the universe was felt last October 16 as the UP Astronomical Society made waves for the celebration of the International Observe the Moon Night. Dreamlike music and poetry imbued the moonlit skies from the relaxing melodies by Amiel Sol, Meiji Sato, and more to the upbeat tunes of Dagandangerous, Bone-A, and many more.
Of course, what better way to communicate our love for the Moon and the night sky than doing it while knowing we’re making a difference through helping the community. InOMN was able to raise proceeds for its two beneficiaries. Cottolengo Filipino Inc., an institution that rehabilitates and cares for neglected persons with disabilities and Rise for Education Alliance – UP Diliman’s #TulongIsko initiative that aims to aid UPD students who have little to no access to resources for remote learning.
The Moon, music, poetry, and a whole community of people eager to help made this year’s celebration of InOMN a fulfilling one. See you next year!
