A Shade of Grey: A Watercolor Portrait Painting Class with Ayeza Mallari

AShadeofGreyPoster

Spend a creative Sunday afternoon this February 19 at Fully Booked, BGC as you make new friends and learn how to paint whimsical portraits using grey!

Why grey? Painting with grey as the only color is a great way to direct a student’s focus in learning how to paint with value in mind, the most important aspect in making a successful painting. Colors may make a painting more interesting but without proper knowledge on value, a painting will look flat and dull regardless of how great the color harmony may be. The particular shade of grey that will be used in the class is Payne’s Grey which is one of the most popular and useful colors in watercolor painting.

This class is open for passionate watercolor enthusiasts who would like to learn how to put depth in portraits and incorporate imaginative techniques that make watercolor portraits so distinctive and alluring. No drawing skills required. Beginner to intermediate students are welcome!

The fee for the class is Php 2,200 which is inclusive of high-quality materials – all of which students will get to take home!

The class will be led by Ayeza Mallari, a self-taught watercolor portrait artist who hopes to make the journey to creating better watercolor portraits less rocky and more fun for students. Check out her Instagram account (@a.yeza) and Facebook page  (facebook.com/ArtofAyeza) to see some of her works.
