Rumors about a new film being in the works spread fast online when the official My Hero Academia Twitter account released a key visual poster in three parts: one of Izuku Midoriya, another of Katsuki Bakugo, and, lastly, of Shoto Todoroki—the anime’s main protagonists. There is also an outline of the Roman numeral for 3, or “III,” suggesting that this is a teaser for the third installment.

“He will meet “The Three Muskateers”,” the poster read.

Fans immediately expressed their excitement over the rumored third film, as well as the characters’ new costumes featuring an arm badge that read “WHA.”

It’s yet to be confirmed if this really is a new movie that’s coming to theaters but all signs point to it being so. It will most likely premiere sometime during the Summer of 2021 or later. We’ll be keeping our eyes peeled for updates!

In the meantime, check out the teaser below and let us know what you think:

My Hero Academia‘s last two movies,  Two Heroes (2018) and Heroes Rising (2019), were well-received by fans all around the world. Though the anime is mostly faithful to the events of the manga, the films have taken creative liberties to explore original plots.
