A good boi manages this self-service ‘kamote’ stand

A self-service kamote or sweet potato stand in Hokkaido, Japan is guarded by an interesting manager – a shiba inu named Ken-kun.

Twitter user @hina_shi_ver2 also shared about it.

Apparently, when someone approaches the store, Ken-kun would greet them.

“犬の焼き芋屋” means self-service store. A piece of roasted sweet potato costs 200yen (Php93).

There’s a sign saying “because I am a dog, I can’t give you a change.” So if you are paying more, Ken-kun will have more money to buy some dog food.

The store is located at 北海道札幌市清田区清田2条1丁目15-11 (1-chome 15-11, Kiyota-ku, Sapporo-shi, Hokkaido).

If you travel to Hokkaido, hope you meet Ken-kun in your trip!
