A Food Lover’s Guide to the Best Grubs at the SM Hypermarket Streetfood Festival 2016!
SM Hypermarket’s annual streetfood festival has always been one of my much awaited annual events and yesterday, I’m thankful that the first leg of this year’s food fair was held near where I live – SM Fairview!
The setup for this year may be a bit different from past ones, but I must say that it’s still equally exciting as the organizers were able to invite 20 of the biggest food brands and gathered Manila’s streetfood business legends as well as incoming game-changers such as Cebu Lechon Belly, Southern Dairy, Banchetto’s Crepes, Takoyaki, and Bacon-wrapped delights, the best-selling SM Markets Turon with Langka and more!
Anyways, going back to yesterday’s festivities, the day was jam packed with people, booths from 20 of the country’s biggest food brands, each having their our fun gimmicks to entice buyers to try them out. The day was also filled with entertaining performances, fun interactive games and cooking demos from sponsors and celebrities like Ms. Love Anover and Chef Boy Logro!
And of course, the highlight of the event… yup, you guessed it —— FOOD!!!!
Everywhere I looked…OMG…. the whole event was a feast for both the eyes and the belly!
I believe I spent almost the whole day trying them all out, so I could come up with my personal picks…. So, without further adieu, here’s a quick lost on what to try next time you join the coming SM Hypermarket Streetfood Festival road shows this month and in October.

If you wanna experience all of these and more, you may catch the next set of road shows at SM Valenzuela on September 9, SM Bicutan on September 23, SM Molino on October 14, and capped-off with the grand finale plus a Pokemon Lure Party on October 20 at SM Mall of Asia. And to make things a bit more tasty, specially bundled packs will be available at select SM Hypermarket branches from September 1 to October 20 which will contain raffle coupons to win P100,000. So ready your appetites because it just might be the most heavenly food festival there is!
