Where to sightsee
1. Swim in the Arabian Gulf with the view of the city skyline at Al Mamzar Beach Park in Hamriya Port.
Or plunge into the Atlantis the Palm’s infinity Royal pool and spot gorgeous men and women at the Nasimi Beach.
2. Wait until 6 pm to watch the amazing dancing fountain in Dubai Mall. In the same location, you can have your photos taken with the backdrop of the majestic 2,722 ft. Burj Khalifa.
3. Just across the bridge from the Dubai Mall, you’ll find the Souk Al Bahar, which has more dining and shopping options and a stunning view of the mall promenade.
4. Amidst the skyscrapers and deserts of Dubai lies the 80,000 sq ft land of colorful landscape—the Miracle Garden. I was impressed I didn’t find a single sprinkler because they utilize a sub-surface irrigation system. Very much first world!
But the garden is closed as of the moment in preparation for the next phase.
5. Book an Arabian Desert Safari tour. The package includes a 4×4 wheel dune bashing, sand skiing, camel ride, shisha, buffet bbq dinner, unlimited drinks (water, tea, coffee, and soft drinks), henna painting, dates, belly dance and tanoura shows.
6. Dubai is also known for its man-made island properties. I suggest you watch the National Geographic documentaries on megastructures featuring the Dubai Palm Island and the Burj Al Arab first before visiting these places. Imagine how the human minds put so much intelligence and hard work to build these structures in the middle of the sea. Nakakaloka!

and the list goes on.
But despite the grandiosity this city flaunts to entice its visitors and a large population of expatriates, there is no place like home—the tropical island of the Philippines.
