Generations of fans of Blue’s Clues will have something to look forward to this year: a movie is coming and it will star all three hosts.
The news was announced by Paramount+ on Twitter and said the movie will have the title Blue’s City Adventure.
There’s no word when it will be available for streaming, but the platform said it is “coming this year.”
The original Blue’s Clues followed an animated blue-spotted dog named Blue as she leaves a trail of clues for her friend Steve (and later his brother Joe) and the viewers, so they could figure out what she wants to do for the day.
Steve (played by Steve Burns) hosted the show from 1996 to 2002, while Joe (portrayed by Donovan Patton) took the lead from 2002 to 2006.

The news of a reboot called Blue’s Clues & You! was announced in 2018, when Nickelodeon announced casting for the host. Over a thousand people applied, with the role being awarded to Joshua Dela Cruz, a Fil-Am actor who was part of the ensemble and was Aladdin’s understudy in the Broadway production of Aladdin.
Dela Cruz plays Josh, a cousin of Steve, who is now an agent, and Joe, who works at a gift shop. Steve and Joe are recurring characters in the reboot.
The Fil-Am actor has starred in three seasons, with a fourth one already being planned. He has even showcased his Filipino side on the “Blue’s Big Baking Show” episode by introducing his lola and a much-loved local delicacy: the bibingka!
Last year, fans of the original run of the show were also treated to a message from Steve.
In a video, he said, “Look at all you have done and all you have accomplished in all that time. And it’s just… it’s just so amazing, right? I mean, we started out with clues and now it’s what? Student loans, and jobs, and families, and some of that has been kind of hard, you know? I know you know.”
Steve ended the video with, “I guess I just wanted to say that after all these years I never forgot you. Ever. And I’m super glad we’re still friends.”
