’80s and ’90s kids, we have great news for you: Bill & Ted is set to return with a sequel and it’s still starring Keanu Reeves and Alex Winter.

Bill & Ted Face the Music is set in the present day where William “Bill” S. Preston, Esq. and Theodore “Ted” Logan are facing the monotony of middle-aged life. They are then warned by a “visitor from the future of the need for them to create a song in 78 minutes that will save all life on Earth and the entire universe. The pair work with their families, old friends, famous musicians, and each other to complete the task.”
William Sadler is also slated to reprise his role as the Grim Reaper.
The film will be the third movie in the Bill & Ted franchise following Bill & Ted’s Excellent Adventure (1989) and Bill & Ted’s Bogus Journey (1991). The franchise has become a classic, launching an animated TV series with Winter and Reeves, a live-action TV series, video games, and comic books.
Bill & Ted Face the Music will be released on August 21, 2020.
