8 Things You Probably Didn’t Know About Clash of Clans

Clash of Clans is a massive online multiplayer game on mobile phone or tablet where you build a village, fortify it, train troops, and attack other villages to earn resources, which are used to build defenses, train troops, and upgrade troops.

It also has a pseudo-single player game feature where you can attack a series of fortified goblin villages, but that’s the somewhat boring part…

The game has gone viral all over the globe because it is quite addicting to play. And with that, if you have been playing Clash of Clans, here are a few things you may or may not know. If you’ve been playing for quite a while, some of these may not come as a surprise to you.

I have been playing the game since last year. Some of these are personal observations while some were learned from reading and watching tutorials. With constant updates, let us know if any of these things were not on point.

8. Playing for 8 hours straight will require you to take a break

Clash of Clans (11)

If you’re an avid player, you have probably received this message because your villagers need to rest, yo!

7. Balloons cannot defend themselves from air attack

Clash of Clans (5)

Therefore, balloons cannot attack other balloons.

If the Clan Castle has balloons, you cannot use balloons to lure them out.

6. Only one gem box can spawn on your village

Clash of Clans (6)

That is the maximum. Make sure to get it if you want a new gem box to re-spawn.

5. You can still request troops even if your Clan Castle is upgrading

Clash of Clans (7)

Unlike the Barracks, the Clan Castle remains fully functional even during upgrade.

4. Army Camps can be used even during upgrade

Clash of Clans (8)

Same with Clan Castle, the Army Camp stays fully functional even during upgrade.

3. Moving a builder hut with a sleeping builder will expose the sleeping builder

Clash of Clans (9)

However, looks like he is not really sleeping but just resting.

2. When troop upgrade is finished, the new level will be applied even on existing troops

Clash of Clans (10)

Some say it’s also a hack to earning resources (elixir/dark elixir). For instance, before a troop upgrade is finished, queue troops for training in the Barracks. When upgrade is done, remove the troops from the queue to get back the resources that should have been used for training them. Due to the troop upgrade, they cost more now than before.

Has anyone tried this? Did it work?

1. No one knows what the PEKKA is

Clash of Clans (4)

But allegedly, PEKKA is a girl.

Clash of Clans (12)

“The armor on PEKKA is so heavy that the spring trap does not work on HER.”

Clash of Clans (3)

While some say PEKKA is a “he” or PEKKA has no gender.

Have you noticed these things as well while playing the game?
