4. TEACH THE VALUE OF TEAMWORK. This is an excellent time to teach your kids the value of teamwork and how cooperation is the key to achieving your goal. The activities and learning games prepared by The North Face team are challenging and enjoyable with any age group. Your little campers, ate, kuya and bunso, will definitely learn the value and importance of teamwork.

  

 

 

“Each team was provided with The North Face Big Fat Frog tents, Aleutian sleeping bags, Nalgene water bottles, Kovea cook sets, and their respective food supplies which they made use of during the cook out.”

 

 

“The teams were made to test their limits in accomplishing the Raft building, Backpacking Challenge, Pogo Dive Quiz ( Pool + logo dive quiz), Rapuzzle (Rappelling + puzzle solving), Sunny Side-Up and the Fitness Trail consisting of Pull up, Sandbag kick, Tricep dips, Curl Ups, and Pull Ups.”

 

 Best part of the adventure race: BANGING THE GONG!

When a team finishes all the activities, you get to bang the gong and check how well you did.

Team Sofia-Davis finished 4th. GOOD JOB!

 

5. ESCAPE THE CITY LIFE AND LEARN TO LOVE NATURE. It’s time to destress from electronic gadgets and say goodbye to iPads and iPhones. The North Face Great Camp Out focuses on outdoor activities and learning opportunities about how to care for nature. This small expedition is a perfect way to make them more environmentally aware and become lovers of plants and animals.

 

We woke up to a beautiful DOUBLE RAINBOW! It was just WOW!

 

We were also gifted with the most magical sunset

 

The day before The Great Camp Out, a batch of turtle eggs hatched and swam to the sea while another turtle laid her eggs and buried them in the sand. It’s just so nice to know that Anvaya Cove is there to protect these creatures and their habitat. It is important to always remind the kids of the grand rules: “LEAVE NOTHING BUT FOOTPRINTS. TAKE NOTHING BUT PICTURES. KILL NOTHING BUT TIME.” We, as adults, are responsible in explaining to them these rules as they explore outdoors.

 

6. GET TO BOND AND SPEND QUALITY TIME WITH YOUR FAMILY. Without electronic games and with the activities prepared by The North Face team, you will have the chance to spend quality time with your family – playing, cheering, cooking or simply just talking to one another.

7. CREATE MEMORIES. Time and effort are well spent on great experiences like this that would last forever. Creating happy memories is one of the most valuable gifts you could ever give to your family. These will keep everyone smiling for almost their whole lifetime.

 

Sitting by a campfire with your favorite person is one of the best experiences that everyone should have at least once.

 

 

 

8. HAVE FUN. Camping should be fun. Let them explore, run, laugh and get going with the activities. Exhaustion from all the camping activities is good. Be prepared to hear your kids talk about how amazing camp was for maybe at least a whole week. Camping can be tiring but the fun and smile on your kids’ faces that goes with it is worth it!

 

 

Remember: Camping is for EVERYONE, as long as you are willing to HAVE FUN – just bring yourself, good vibes and let The North Face team take care of the rest.
