6. Myeongdong Shopping Street
There are quite a few shopping districts in Seoul, but you absolutely cannot miss this one. It is hard not to spend money on things like food, cosmetics and skincare products while you’re in Myeongdong; but if you’re on a strict budget, you’ll be happy to know that there are stores that give away free sheet masks and product samples if you simply enter their stores. If you decide to buy a few items, you’ll get even more freebies!
If you’re after IG-worthy spots, there’s one stop for pastel-loving millenials that you’ll absolutely adore. It’s the Stylenanda Pink Hotel, a flagship store, not an actual hotel, with 5 storeys worth of glam.
There’s a chic rooftop, a cafe, and a boutique for both clothing and cosmetics where you can splurge (though window shopping is most welcome, too).
5. Haneul (Sky) Park
After having been featured in famous Korean dramas including Goblin and While You Were Sleeping, the Haneul Park has gained real popularity as a tourist destination. It can be really tricky to find because it entails a lot of walking; but once you see the beautiful sight of fully grown eulalias, especially during autumn, it is all worth it.
4. N Seoul Tower
N Seoul Tower is another one of those tourist spots that you definitely cannot miss. It can get a lot crowded but it still is one of the most iconic spots there are in South Korea. Whether you plan on leaving a love lock for you and your loved one or you simply want to enjoy a top view of the city, N Seoul Tower should and must be included in your itinerary.
Sure, entrance to the tower itself requires a ticket, but you can still take in the sights from the tower’s base.
When my friends went there, they visited at night and purchased tickets to climb the tower. It seemed like so much fun; I definitely intend to do that when I go back.
