7 Things to Consider When Getting a Backpack for a Trip

Whenever I travel, I see to it that I bring a backpack with me because I carry lots of gadgets around like my extra phone, my laptop, battery packs, and at times, an DSLR camera. However, it has been a challenge to find a lightweight backpack that will make me enjoy the trip more rather than spending most of my effort carrying it around. Hence, having the perfect backpack is key especially for trips like this one, a trip for Sinulog.

It is really reasonable to choose a lightweight backpack when traveling. It is more comfortable to carry even for long hours. Moreover, it is quite weird to have a backpack that is heavier than the stuff you have to put inside it. Hence, whenever possible, start reducing the weight of what you have to bring on backpack itself first.

I have used several backpacks in the past but the recent one I got from Aevor is by far my favorite. I used the Aevor Sportspack for Sinulog and will most likely use it for my upcoming trips.

When choosing a backpack for your trips, here are several things you must consider.

7. Weight

Like I said before, choose lightweight backpack for your trip. As much as possible, if you can reduce the weight of your backpack do so because it is more difficult to reduce the weight of the important things that you have to bring for the trip such as your laptop and camera. However, even if you are reducing the weight of your backpack, make sure you don’t compromise its durability.

The Aevor Sportspack I had was lightweight due to the material used for it. Without its content, it was barely noticeable. If you are going on a trip, I highly recommend a bag like this especially if you will be carrying it for longer periods so as not to tire yourself out.

6. Material

The Aevor backpack is made from Recycled Pet. It is both lightweight and durable, highly applicable for an trip backpack and even for everyday backpack.

5. Chest Strap

This Aevor backpack has a solid chest strap. Aside from making sure that your backpack is secured, it also allows the weight to be passed to your torso, which prevents your shoulder from getting strained.

4. Padded Shoulder Straps

The should straps carry a lot of weight so it is important that they are durable. However, to make sure that the bag is comfortable to wear and carry even for extended hours, the shoulder straps must be padded well.

3. Design

The perfect backpack doesn’t have to be glamorous in design. The simpler and more streamlined the design is, as long as it is functional, the better. At the end of the day, its main purpose is to allow you to carry your important belongings without straining you. Hence, you might not even need a lot of pouches and pockets, or other non-functional straps and zippers.

2. Fit

Finding the perfect backpack is finding the perfect big. Of course there are backpacks that are either too small or too big for the purpose you want it to perform. For a travel backpack, the Aevor is great. It is a perfect fit even if you need to carry your laptop, camera, and other gadgets while traveling.

1. Size

There is no one-size-fits-all backpack but for a trip, the size of this Aero backpack is perfect. It can carry 20 liters that is expandable to 26 liters. As a nomadic worker, I was able to carry all my gadgets and gizmos even in the middle of the Sinulog grand street parade. Moreover, there is a zipper on the backpack that lets it expand if you need extra space.

But wait, there’s more…
