7 Reasons to Visit Seven on 7th: New European Casual-Dining Restaurant in the Fort

trans

Let’s try out some of the main dishes..

Seven on 7th

Chicken Lemongrass Confit (Php 650)

This dish is reminiscent of Hainanese Chicken (but again, with a twist!). The chicken is tender and juicy complemented with a sweet soy sauce.

Seven on 7th

The Hanger Steak (Php 750)

The Hanger Steak is for the hungry! Slices of grilled onglet (a cut of beef steak from diaphragm, which is noted for its flavor) served with red wine sauce.  It is tender and juicy.  The serving is just perfect for one to finish, or share.

Vegetarian Lasagna (Php 425)

For those who prefer to stay away from meat, I recommend  the Vegetarian Lasagna.  Shitake, eggplant, zucchini, and lots of mozzarella cheese – your tastebuds will deceive you with every bite as it feels like you are tasting some good meat from this dish. I love pasta, and this is love!

4. Good Food Equates Good Drinks

I love how refreshing their Grape Shake was. However, for those who want really good drinks from fermented grapes (yes, I mean wine!), Seven on 7th does serve glasses of wine to go with their steaks.

5.  Value for Money

Seven on 7th offers the best dishes and unique European dining experience at a good price – with its elaborate plating, quality ingredients and masterpiece dishes, the meal prices range from Php 500 to Php 1, 000. Nothing that will hurt your pocket, especially when trying to impress a date.

6. Wagyu Beef Bar (coming soon!)  and Open Kitchen

I love the open kitchen design that lets us see how the chefs work (lead by Chef Jay Rollan), which appears like a live show demonstrating their talent and dexterity in preparing meals.

Plus, guests are ensured that the cafe restaurant is pristine clean from dining to the kitchen.

There is also a table set-up for the Wagyu Bar, which will hopefully open before the year ends! Now that is one thing to look forward to!

 7. Catering and Personalized Service

During a quick chat with Chef Jay, he shared that they are dedicated to serving food that pleases their guests. They also offer catering services and they are flexible in twisting the menu and recipes – they want their customers to feel comfortable the same way one feels when eating his/her comfort food.

During the night of our visit, the team served us with this yummy French Macaroons (not part of the menu). We enjoyed the sweet dessert so much as we shared small talks with the owners – Randy, Ellis, Flo and Toff.

In-between bites, my friends and I shared fun talks and laughter that we felt so comfortable in our little place in the Seven on 7th.  That’s how the place made us feel – light, at home and comfortable. We actually forgot about the other diners and the intimidating ambiance. It appears that the other diners enjoyed their moments and food, too.
