It’s been two years since I decided to chop off 10 inches from my hair for donation. Ever since then, I haven’t grown back my hair any longer than shoulder length because guess what? I’ve fallen in love with having short hair. There’s an extensive list of reasons why, but today, I’ll be showing you 7 of my favorite perks!

7. You’ll use less shampoo.

As someone who is passionate about saving the environment, it makes me quite happy that I use less shampoo now. I’ll just need a few drops to make all of my hair bubbly. Plus, it also saves me money!

6. It feels cooler and lighter.

It’s hot in the Philippines. For 365 days a year, there’s only one season—SUMMER. Having short hair makes it more bearable. You’d actually feel the breeze on your neck and your head won’t feel heavy with short hair.

5. It doesn’t get tangled.

Having long hair is really stressful especially when you get up in the morning. I take so much time removing the tangles in the past, but now I don’t even have to use conditioners anymore!

4. Not getting tangled = less hairfall!

We all know how much hair we sacrifice when removing those tangled ones.

3. You don’t have to make an effort for everyone to see your new earrings.

Got some new piercings and want everyone to compliment it? Having short hair lets everyone see it even without putting back your hair.

2. It’s cheaper when you want to color your hair!

Short hair is nice for broke people like me who wants those bright highlights.

1. It’s low-maintenance

Having long hair can be quite a hassle sometimes especially when you’re already late. I don’t comb my hair now when going out and it settles just fine! You can just use your hands to brush and style your hair.

P.S. It’s okay if you don’t like it.

Although it might take some time, don’t worry too much if you’re not fond of the new hairstyle, because it will always grow back!
