3. Malcapuya Island
I came with my parents who are 50+ year olds (I won’t say, mom and dad don’t worry haha) Anyway, normally they can’t keep up with us in terms of swimming or diving but they really enjoyed Malcapuya because of the corals and giant clams near the beach. Their favorite part would be the fishes that were very friendly! They really come to you and swim around. Some fishes would even bump my nose!
We even saw Nemo!
Tip: It gets really tiring to swim around and look at fishes and look for giant clams. I was pulling my parents back to shore. Phew! You can hire a small boat where you will hold on to the side and it will slowly hover you around the island for you to see everything. They will offer it in the island or you can just ask around.
2. Pas Island
This was my favorite island that we went to on our tour. I regret that we didn’t bring snacks and spent too much time eating lunch in Pas Island instead of exploring it. Though I still did for a short while. They had corals nearby as well. The shallow water was very wide! You can wade around and relax. It also has the most pristine waters in Coron in my opinion.
You can also rent out these amazing huts for Php 1000 per person per night I was told. Literally, beach front!
Tip: Bring ALOT of sunblock as usually the tour will bring you to Pas Island at noon when the sun is the highest. Also bring beach mats or scarves (what I do) so you can spread it under a tree and you can take a nap.
